Privacy notice
Last updated: October 8, 2026
DreamDrop is an independent personal beta project. This is an interim notice, not a claim of complete legal compliance. Operator identification, applicable legal bases, provider/transfer details and final retention schedules remain under review. Contact: info@dreamlab.mk.
What we process
- Account and invitation information: username, name when provided, email, membership, account dates, hashed passwords and authentication/Agent credentials.
- Waitlist requests: name, email, request date and related invitation/email delivery records.
- Uploads: file content, original filenames, sizes, Drop names, upload dates, delivery status and usage totals.
- Agent information: computer name, selected download-folder path, connection status and sync information. Folder paths can contain personal information and are visible to the service.
- Technical and security information: IP addresses in server logs, request details, errors, browser connection information and hashed IP-based abuse-prevention records.
Why we use it
To provide account access, manage invitations, deliver files to the intended account, enforce limits, send requested beta emails, diagnose failures and prevent misuse. Joining the waitlist requests beta-related correspondence; it does not guarantee an invitation.
Temporary file storage
| Plan | Delivery window |
|---|---|
| Free | 1 day |
| Pro | 3 days |
| Team | 7 days |
The window starts when an upload is accepted and follows the plan at that time. Expired files stop being available for delivery or restore. Physical server cleanup runs periodically, so expiry does not mean every stored byte is erased at that exact second. Changing plans does not extend an existing file’s window.
Delivery does not immediately delete the server copy. Files downloaded to your computer remain there after expiry or account/Drop deletion. Restore missing files only works while the server copy is still available; it does not overwrite existing local files.
Deleting Drops and accounts
Deleting a Drop permanently disables its upload link. It is not an immediate erasure request for all server records or file content: files remain subject to normal cleanup and usage records may remain. Pausing a Drop is not deletion. Contact us separately to request account or personal-data deletion; we may need to verify your request and explain any applicable exceptions.
Account, invitation, email, audit, usage and technical records have separate retention needs. Final automated retention schedules for these records are not yet defined in this beta; the 1/3/7-day file window does not apply to all personal data. An approved request may disappear from the pending waitlist view without erasing all related records.
Who can access information
Your receiving account and connected Agents can access submitted files. Anyone holding a Drop link may submit files; treat that link as private. Uploaders do not need an account. The project operator can access server-side data for service operation, support and security. Files are not end-to-end encrypted and this beta is not a confidential-data vault.
Hosting, DNS/network and email providers process information needed to operate the service. Some pages load Google Fonts, which causes the browser to contact Google. Provider locations, contractual safeguards and cross-border transfer details are still being documented. Contact us before uploading data that requires specific hosting or compliance guarantees.
Cookies and browser storage
DreamDrop uses a session cookie for login, preference cookies for navigation/Drop context, and browser storage for navigation state and Agent platform selection. These are not a promise of anonymous browsing. Clearing them may sign you out or reset preferences.
Your choices and requests
Write to info@dreamlab.mk to ask about access, correction, deletion, applicable portability/restriction rights, or removal from beta correspondence. Rights and exceptions depend on applicable law. You may complain to your relevant data-protection authority; in North Macedonia, see the Personal Data Protection Agency.
Please use test files and keep your originals during beta. Do not upload sensitive personal records, passwords or material you are not entitled to share. We will update this notice as the service develops.
